Creative summer school for children aged 7-14 yrs
Welcome to “The Imaginarium”, a creative summer school starting this August for children aged 7-14. Under the guidance of highly experienced creative practitioners and artists, children can engage in a range of immersive activities including acting, songwriting, jewellery making, comic book and Manga drawing. Delivered by DBS checked local artists, makers, and musicians, including celebrated local musician Dan Britton, a singer-songwriter who has produced nationally acclaimed albums, Niel Rabjohn, multi-instrumentalist and music workshop leader and Becky Edwards, New York trained actor and presenter with a wealth of experience working in media production. For children with a passion for visual arts, local creator and author Sam Berry will lead on crafts, creative arts, and collage.
“The Imaginarium” promises something creative for every child from writing a song in a day to bead making. Sessions will run from 10 am - 3 pm and children can book for the whole week or individual sessions. Children are encouraged to sign up to the five-day summer school experience and receive the “Imaginarium” certificate of attendance. A momentous event for the summer holidays; new creative skills, new friends and time away from technology.
This event must be booked in advance.
