Its never to soon to learn pottery , however in order to use the wheel independantly we recommend a minimum age of 7 so that the pedal and wheel head can be reached easily , younger childern can join in by sitting on a parents lap

Not just a pottery painting studio! we have 2 beautiful studios side by side nestled in the peaceful courtyard at Mersham le hatch , Ashford , Kent . we have a dedicated potters studio with 4 full size proffesional wheels , space for hand building , sculpture etc and a seperate pottery painting studio and craft room offering not just pottery painting but mosaics, decoupage, woodcraft painting, glass painting , clubs and classes and room for parties and celebrations .

Our studio is located in a quiet location away from the hustle of town with free parking , we run clubs , classes and workshops for all ages and offer pottery painting, clay work, potters wheel , foam clay, decoupage, creative crafts , parties and much more , there is always something different going on and we have a wide range of holiday activities , its great fun for all the family . We welcome families with additional needs , everyone welcome

Clay is a wonderful material to work with and we believe its never too soon to start exploring the endless possibilities .Its something the whiole family can join in with even the tiny tots can enjoy creating with clay .In addition to clay we have pottery painting, and many other crafts to enjoy

Parking at From Scratch Crafts is easy and free , we are located in a small courtyard just a stroll from the car park , there is also plenty of disabled parking available , there are some lovely walks in the near by deer park and surrounding areas
