About The Street
Need to get away from it all? Take the kids for a peaceful stroll by the sea along The Street in Whitstable. It’s an uncommercial and perfectly tranquil area where you can enjoy some quiet time. Feel free to bring your four-legged friends with you, it’s a great place for dog walking!
Along this mile-long pebbles strip of the Kent coastline, you’ll discover heart-warming views, reminiscent of classic Victorian England. Shingle beach, little wooden sheds and The Isle of Sheppey in the distance - it will feel like you’ve stepped into a postcards!
Warm outside? Grab a picnic bag and have a nice family lunch outdoors on one of the green hills by The Street. Just one thing, make sure you’ve checked the tides before you go. The Street is wonderful at low tide but it can get dangerous when the tide’s high.
