It must be noted that whilst a lovely place theCeramics Cafe Basingstoke isonly open on Saturdays and seats only 20 painters, but it's well worth waiting and booking for! Pop in on a Saturday between 10am and 5.30pm, with your completed family projects fired and processed by careful staff during the week, collectible the following Saturday. Because of the limited public availability sessions must generally be pre booked. Offers 2 hour long children's party sessions too!
It's the usual pottery studio arrangement: he kids can paint while you watch, or you can all work together and make your own treasure too! There are loads and loads of differing items all blank and white and waiting for you to make your colourful mark on them! Choose from something simple like a mug for a couple of pounds to really impressive speciality items great for special occasion gifting! You really don't need to be a confident artist to make a great gift or memorial masterpiece, just be open to asking and trying: everything else including materials and artistic guidance is already here waiting!
Babies and toddlers can do hand or foot print based projects, while the older types are offered a wider selection of much more intricate items to make their own so whatever your taste there's something there for you!
When you've finished your arty projects they fire the item for you and on the following Saturday your projects will be ready to pick up and ready for careful central arrangement on the mantlepiece!
