Animals & Conservation
Their dedication to animal conservation shines through in the daily keeper and feeding talks. These sessions give kids and families valuable insights into protecting Earth's most precious wildlife. You'll also discover some quirky facts about each beloved animal, such as how a red panda's diet consists of 98% bamboo and how Banham Zoo grows their bamboo on-site.
Banham Zoo is also home to a HUGE range of exotic animals and native species, with over 2,000 majestic animals from around the world. Explore their Tropical House with free-flying birds from South America and many other species, including Rowan, the two-toed sloth! Or why not take a walk through the wallaby enclosure? Ever wanted to get closer than ever to your favourite animals? Well, you're in luck! At Banham Zoo, you can enjoy amazing animal experiences!
With the adult keeper experience or junior keeper experiences available, you can get hands-on with incredible creatures. From tigers and leopards to giraffes, sloths, meerkats AND howler monkeys! Some are 20-minute experiences, others are 45 minutes, and the keeper experiences are all day! One thing's for sure: you'll make unforgettable memories that you'll cherish forever. Prices start from just £10.
Food & Drink
Is your tummy rumbling? Fill your tummies with a trip to one of many onsite restaurants and snack shacks dotted around the zoo.
Grab a slice of pizza from the Parkside Pizza Restaurant or nip in for a creamy coffee at The Glade. Don't fancy sitting in to eat? If a tasty snack is all you need, you should head to Wise Owl Shack, Woodlands or the Keepers Hut!

- The Safari Road Train is not adapted for wheelchair use. However, their staff will assist visitors in boarding and disembarking from the train where possible.

- They have disabled car parking spaces available to visitors with a valid permit.
- Free manual wheelchairs are available to guests.
- These are in limited supply, so they are offered on a first-come, first-served basis.
