Attraction Information
Sloughbottom Park lays claim to a 'world class' BMX Track available for public use at that best of prices: free! Not only can you up and down to your heart's content but when you're smashing at it there's the Norwich Flyers BMX Club to join in with too. Don't forget to bring your padding and helmet but also it's best to wear long legs and sleeves as the surfacing is loose and scratchy, best not landed on with bare skin!
Plus there's pretty cracking playground alongside it with some unusual climbing frames and a great cycling spinny thing… that's the best name we could come up with for it but it's loads of fun and there are non pedalling seats for the lazy bones. Don't get tricked into letting the kids spin you on the yellow device, it's pretty severe on the inner ear and you'll be wobbling a fair while afterwards, especially if they won't stop pushing you when you ask them! There's a few more play bit and bobs, plus loads of open green space for ball games and kite flying and the track running around the perimeter of the park is perfect for roller skating, scooting or cycling for the smalls whoa aren't read to hit the BMX track yet. Jolly handy for pushchairs too!
There are often entertainments, fetes and the like laid on here during kids' school holidays, so it's well worth seeing what's coming up if you've got some nice weather and time off impending.
