South Yorkshire Aircraft Museum at Doncaster Lakeside on the former site of WWII RAF Doncaster has historic buildings and aircraft hangers, military aircraft and helicopters, and you can even put yourself in the pilot seat as selected cockpits are always open! A great day out for families and enthusiasts alike.
The museum exhibits a collection of aircraft, from craft flown at the first air show in in Britain in 1909 at Doncaster Racecourse, to civil light aircraft, and modern fast jets. You will see helicopters, rockets, and more, plus a number of interactive exhibts, most of which are under cover, making this a great all weather attraction.
