Pumpkin Picking in Yorkshire 2026

Yorkshire is one of the best regions in the UK for pumpkin picking in 2026, anchored by one of the country's biggest and most celebrated farm festivals. Whether you are in Leeds, Sheffield, York or the wider countryside, there is a brilliant autumn day out waiting.

Farmer Copleys Pumpkin Festival is a genuine standout. Running from 26 September to 1 November 2026, it grows over 300,000 homegrown pumpkins across more than 40 varieties, from classic orange carvers to white, green and striped gourds.

Also in the region, Butt Farm Pumpkin Patch near Beverley is one of the most unique patches in the country: entry is by a donation of your choice to Yorkshire Air Ambulance, making it the most affordable verified patch in the North. It also runs Howloween dog-picking evenings on selected dates.

Across North Yorkshire, the Dales and South Yorkshire, more patches open throughout October, daily from around 23 October for half term.
