The Great Yorkshire Pumpkin Festival at Monk Park Farm

One ticket covers two things here: full admission to the farm park and entry to The Great Yorkshire Pumpkin Patch. Every festival ticket also comes with a free £3.50 pumpkin voucher, which you can spend on a pumpkin outright or put towards a bigger one.

The daytime event runs on a Wizard Academy theme, with wand making, potion making and a broomstick flying school, alongside live stage shows, carnival-style games and a pumpkin carving barn. The farm park side of the day stands up on its own, with animal activities and encounters, indoor and outdoor play areas, a bale mountain, woodland walks and miniature train rides.

After dark the site changes character, with evening pumpkin nights run separately from the daytime event. One version is built for families and another is strictly 18 plus.

Book in advance if you can. Peak dates sell out and pre-booking works out cheaper than the on-the-day price. Everybody except under 1s needs a ticket, and dogs are not allowed anywhere on the farm, including the best behaved ones, because the animals can be spooked. Axe throwing and barrel rides are paid extras rather than part of admission, and pumpkins themselves are charged on top of the ticket.
