Pumpkin Festival at Lineham Farm

Every ticket here pays for more than the day out. Lineham Farm at Eccup is the home of Leeds Children's Charity, which uses the farm to give local children residential breaks, and Pumpkin Festival Leeds is one of the events that funds that work.

Picking your own pumpkin is part of the ticketed experience rather than an extra to pay for at the gate. Around it runs the Wicked Woods Trick or Treat Trail, which takes families through the wooded part of the farm, plus spooky storytelling, Halloween crafts and a magical wand-making workshop. Face painting is available at the festival too.

The festival runs in ticketed sessions rather than all day, and tickets must be booked in advance through the charity's online booking form, so it is not somewhere to arrive and hope for the best. There is a farm shop on site along with food and drink.

One firm rule to plan around: dogs are not permitted at the Pumpkin Festival at all, including in the outdoor areas, with registered assistance and service dogs the only exception. A session gives you an hour or two on the farm, which is enough to pick a pumpkin, walk the trail and get through a craft or two.
