Pumpkin Picking at Stockeld Park

The pumpkins here are grown on the Stockeld Estate itself, so the picking happens in a real working field rather than from a display laid out on grass. Entry to the Pumpkin Patch and the tractor-trailer ride out to it are both part of the day ticket, and you can choose traditional carving pumpkins or the more unusual varieties. The pumpkins themselves carry a small extra charge if you want to take one home.

That same ticket covers a good deal more than the patch. The Woodland Witches trail runs through the Enchanted Forest, there is a Mummy Maze, and six outdoor adventure playgrounds are open across the park. Zombie Laser Tag can be added on, and face painting is available every day of the Halloween Adventure.

New for 2026 are Pumpkin Nights on 17 and 24 October, with food, live music, roaming entertainment and games at the Patch. Crockery Smash, Pumpkin Sling Shot and Wand Making are included in that ticket, with extra rounds available for a small charge.

Wellies are not gentle advice here: the patch is a working field and the park tells visitors to dress for mud. No dogs or other animals are allowed on site, although trained, registered and fully harnessed assistance dogs are welcome. Everyone under 16, paying or not, must be with a responsible adult aged 18 or over. Pre-booking is recommended, and the last tractor out to the Patch leaves well before the park itself shuts, so the picking is not something to leave until the end of the day.
