Attraction Information
Discover the secrets of ancient London at the London Mithraeum! Travel 2000 years back in time to the age when the temple to the god Mithras was built by the Romans. There are over 600 artefacts for you to explore and learn about the past. Your kids are just learning to write? Show them the tables where the earliest Londoners did all their writing.
Also making history come to life is a light and sound recreation, which takes place every 20 minutes. Your little explorers will be left staring in awe as the Romans make an appearance. It’s a short but effective little presentation, which will bring an exciting twist to your family learning experience.
Make sure you book a timeslot for your visit before you go, it guarantees you entry at the most convenient time. Don’t worry, there usually are plenty of spots left, so you are very likely to be able to book a next- or even same-day visit.
