Indoors, there's Professor Nitrate's Mad Lab! You and the kids join in the fun of experimenting with gizmos, gadgets and contraptions to find out about forces and gravity, areodynamics and explosions! The Professor always needs kids' help with his mad experiments so get ready to volunteer!
Let the children travel in a fun engaging way through 300 years of explosive and top secret history, with a Film, the Interactive Exhibition and the Rocket Vault packed with bright shiny rockets and satellite launchers. There are quizzes, crafts, and creative ways to keep all the family entertained.
Science, history and nature themes are embedded in the landscape and buildings of the Royal Gunpowder Mills. When you go on the land train guided tour to explore the northern parts of the site, you will find it criss-crossed with dry canals, alder woodland and, peeping through the trees, mysterious buildings uniquely designed to manufacture and test explosives.
