The latest in sound and lighting effects combine with a lively disco atmosphere for fun sessions at Riverside's ice rink. There are also public skate and age restricted sessions available with a more traditional lighting etc so everyone can find a time suited to them! Ice skating is a great healthy family pastime which builds skill and confidence as well as supportive bonds as you help them get going. It's also beneficial to those who enjoy roller skating, employing the same muscle sets.

It's also the home of the local Chelmsford Chieftains Ice Hockey Team and the venue for their generally pretty exciting home matches. Go Chieftans!

There's also usually an ice show put on instead of public skating over the Xmas period, well worth watching for kids who would be skaters or dancers or those who just love a show. Who doesn't?!

They also do birthday parties but it's worth noting that food, a staff led lesson and anything else that indicate a party are additionally priced add ons, so it's really more of a group discount!
