Brook End Gardens
Chelmsford, EssexAbout Brook End Gardens
The Green Flag Awarded Brook End Gardens is a simple but pleasing community greenspace ideal for wending away summer afternoons with the kids. There's a family trim trail which is series of sturdy assault course style equipment, ideal for kids over about 3 years, but possible for those under with heavy parental assistance. Roll your sleeves up mum! Near the children's play area are formal and recreational gardens. It's popular with kite owners as given the wide open space it's often windy and there are zero power lines around to be concerned about, helpful with learner fliers! The gardens' centerpiece is a huge metal sculpture which can be a nice educational stop if you fancy where you can explain to the kids that it's made with copies of ancient treasure from the time of Celtic King Cunobelin! Say that 5 times fast! Main access to the park is at Chelmer Village Way or Brook End Road with bus stops nearby both points. Handy!
