Sevenoaks, KentAbout National Trust - Knole Park
Knole is a historic house and medieval deer park situated in the market town of Sevenoaks. With a large number of free attractions on offer including the Visitor Centre, Park Experience room, several exhibitions and the entire deer park, a visit to Knole makes for a wonderful, fun and affordable day!
Deer roam free in the beautiful parkland, providing a source of great pleasure to all ages. The mixture of unspoilt woodland and open meadows supplies a rich and varied environment, creating the perfect natural playground for adventurous children to explore year-round. A network of buggy-friendly paths makes the park easily accessible for parents with very young children.
The Visitor Centre provides a gentle introduction to Knole with interactive touch-screens, videos, models and informative displays. House trails are available to complete around the house, with themes such as famous faces, animals, and music. For younger children there are discovery cubes encouraging learning through activities such as colouring and counting. Also for children, the Park Experience room explores the animal and plant life in the park through a mixture of displays, activities and hands-on exhibits.
