Houston Farm Riding School is a family run, licensed riding school approved by both the Association of British Riding Schools (ABRS) and the British Horse Society (BHS) offering lessons for kids over 4 years old. They have an Indoor Riding School (18.3m x 30.5m) with a raised seating area for spectators, a secondary Indoor Riding School (20m x 40m), a Floodlit Outdoor Sand Arena and Outdoor Jumping Courses. There are Horses and Ponies to suit all standards and sizes of rider. They also have horses trained to carry side saddle, if you're feeling ladylike about it!
Lessons are friendly and supportive and cater from absolute beginner upwards, all the way to ABRS tests and SVQ qualifications, so if you start them young and they end up wanting a career in this field (pun fully intended, we confess!) then you can relax knowing that they can run the full gamut right here in familiar territory.
There's a handy kiosk selling light refreshments and a small but essential range of Equestrian riding wear and equipment, plus there's free off road car parking.
