The Scottish National Equestrian Centre
Ecclesmachan, Edinburgh and LothianAbout The Scottish National Equestrian Centre
BHS approved The Scottish National Equestrian Centre is suited to more experienced riders only, who are wanting to perfect their technique or prepare for competition. They do not offer beginner level lessons and this is not a place of young children unless they're terribly precocious and experienced and intending to learn at an adult level! You can get Show Jumping and Event Training here though if you're up to the challenge, and often from rather well known equestrian celebrities, too!
It offers some fantastic facilities, including an 80m x 40m international arena with viewing area, 60m x 25m warm up arena, 110m x 80m Outdoor grass arena, 6 furlong all weather gallops and a British Eventing Cross Country course! A huge selection of primo fare for horse lovers, enough to keep even the pros happy.
And of course being such a prestigious environment there are usually upcoming show, displays and competitions to come and spectate and be inspired by, so use our handy link to keep an eye on what's coming up. Plus if you've got your own and you're after a longer adventure they also offer accommodation for both the horse and rider! What a classy place to have a long weekend adventure!
