Hippodrome Boness
Boness, Edinburgh and LothianAbout Hippodrome Boness
Hippodrome Boness has a full programme of films for all ages and tastes and offers a cinema going experience that is a wonderful world away from the multiplex. It is the oldest purpose built cinema in Scotland, an A listed historic building that opened in 1912!
At the Hippodrome, you will find a warm welcome for all, baby friendly screenings, 'Jeely Jar' screenings for kids, a 'Hippodrome for Schools' programme, and special events. There are also regular Q and As and workshops, buggy parking, booster seats for wee ones, baby changing facilities, and 'Cuppa' screenings with coffee or tea and cake included in your ticket price. You will also find free parking in Bo'ness town centre, making this old style picture-house a great venue for some family film fun!
This is a wonderfully relaxing cinema, with beautifully restored, comfortable seats that provide great views of the screen, and a great selection of different films to watch. The surroundings may be old fashioned, but the projection and sound equipment are state of the art!
There is also a cafe and licensed bar.
