Attraction Information
This beautiful forest is a jewel in Natural Resources Wales' crown and one of South Wales' leading recreation sites, now boasting some of the top facilities in the country. From the Changing Places disabled facilities, the trails and the award-winning restaurant, the newly re-developed site really does have something for everyone.
There's plenty to entertain the family. With a fantastic play area, low ropes course and the Animal Puzzle Trail, you're guaranteed to return time and time again.
Try the Wern Walk or the Willow Walk for a few hours light exercise or simply relax with a cup of coffee and a selection of local foods in the restaurant.
Throughout the year, Garwnant Visitors Centre hosts multiple free events for children to enjoy. Also, they arrange a highly successful Halloween Spooky night which has sold out year after year. Kids and big kids are invited to take a guided tour around the forest where spooky things await!
The Christmas winter wonderland is also a massive hit. For one week only, Santa and his reindeers visit the Garwnant Visitors centre to meet the children to see who's been good or who's been bad! Your kids get to meet Santa and feed the reindeers, but there's also lots of treats on for the adults, including a BBQ and a heap of Mulled wine!
