Fulwood Leisure Centre on Black Bull Lane has had £700,000 invested into a full refurbishment, and it shows - there's a bright, air-conditioned gym, a group cycle studio, and a Toddlers World for children aged six and under, bursting with colourful play equipment. The 25-metre, 6-lane pool is joined by a separate teaching pool for lessons, and Preston Swimming Club trains here alongside the City of Preston Aquatics synchronised swimming club. There are two squash courts, a busy studio programme, and junior gym sessions for 11-17 year olds. With birthday parties and kids' holiday activities on offer too, it's a genuinely refreshed, family-friendly centre.
