    Best Things To Do & Days Out In Preston, Lancashire

    There are lots of unique things to do in Preston, making the city no ordinary family day out.

    Over at The Harris Museum and Art Gallery learn more about the story of Preston through a combination of history and art, with lots of family friendly features and chances to get your hands dirty!

    Remember to pack your flat cap for your Preston family day out ready to take a ride on The Ribble Steam Railway, where you can chug along the three-mile track along the riverside. Visit the museum and shop when you disembark for a peak into the railway history of the area and Preston Dock.

    If you can’t enough wildlife, Brockholes Nature Reserve has 250 acres of natural habitat to explore. Make the most of the family activities and events on offer or just go for the great adventure play area!

    Finish off the day with a bit of history at Hoghton Tower. The castle was built in 1109AD and has been restored and recreated over the years. It now sits impressively on high ground surrounded by beautiful gardens waiting to be explored by kings, queens, ninjas or warrior princesses of the future.
