Dorset Teddy Bear Museum
Dorchester, DorsetAbout Dorset Teddy Bear Museum
The Dorset Teddy Bear Museum is Dorchester's frankly unmissable family museum, with Edward Bear and his own family of people sized bears, set around Teddy Bear House in a sequence of adorable settings and poses. Fantastic for kids' photo opportunities!
Every bear that ever there was from vaguely unnerving antique thread-bears (see what they did there?) through to modern TV favourites are all waiting to greet you in this enchanting Teddy Bear Museum that will have all kids big and small hankering for a cuddle!
Be sure to visit the museum's charming period shop stocking classy brands of seriously cute stuff: Steiff Teddy Bear, Merrythought, Dean's, Gund and many more. Bring your pocket money!
It's particularly worth visiting in the run up to Christmas as they redecorate the entire place in highly festive fashion, putting little costumes on the fellows and giving them Christmas jobs to do too! Beware though, although it starts on the 13th November it ends on the 13th December and is then closed until the 26th, so get organised and slip in early!
