Set in 147 acres of parkland In Kettering, Northamptonshire, Wicksteed Park is packed full of great family activities. Breathe in the fresh air and embrace tranquillity at this beautiful park. Enjoy the gently sloping hills and secluded lakes that give way to rides, attractions and play areas!

Did you know it's owned by Wicksteed Charitable Trust and is a Grade II English Heritage Listed Park & Garden? It's pretty impressive and makes the perfect fun family day out. There's also a way of helping preserve the park for future generations, with your donations!

The theme park is also known to be the oldest on the UK mainland after it was bought by Charles Wicksteed. It was also meant to be a model village, but became the 147-acre Wicksteed Park we all know today! 

This family-friendly theme park has over 30 exciting rides and attractions for all ages, from rollercoasters to race cars, Rocky River rides to roundabouts to gentle boat trips around the boating lake - there are lots of family-friendly rides to enjoy. There’s even the world’s oldest water chute ride, designed in 1926!

Ever been on the Sway Rider? This is a classic swing ride with an edge... Strap yourself in and prepare to fly through the air of the Wicksteed Park Heritage Zone at speeds of up to 30mph! The 30ft high ride moves up and down, while you are tilted at 45 degrees for the adrenaline-boosting factor! The swing ride is one of the coolest rides to try out at Wicksteed Park.

Wanna be a space cadet? Learn quickly as you are blasted off into space in your very own brightly-coloured Mini Jets! Zip around the  Adventure Zone at Wicksteed Park before heading to Dinosaur Valley for a high-adrenaline ride as you speed along a figure of 8 patterns on dino carriages!

Are you a fan of heights? If you aren't, we're sure you'll love this attraction anyway! Walk through the leafy treetops of Wicksteed Park. Climb, scramble and crawl through the different routes of the Tree Top Walk. Can you brave the 90-metre course? It has rope bridges, cargo nets and tree trunks which will take you high up into the treetops of Wicksteed Park!

 

Once you’ve dried off make sure you pop into the meerkat burrows to visit your favourite furry friends!

Before walking through the Wooloomooloo Aviary to enjoy the sights and sounds of 60 bright and beautiful colourful birds! Watch them fly and chatter above your head, as they swoop and glide in the air. From macaws, cockatiels and finches to budgies and diamond doves. Discover what birds live here! 

Exciting rides and amazing animals make for brilliant family attractions!

Wicky’s Farmyard offers the chance to interact with all your favourite farmyard animals. From giant rabbits, pigs and goats to barn owls, ferrets, chickens, ducks and guinea pigs! All in a brand-new animal-friendly enclosure. 

Let's get the most important item on our food checklist out of the way - ice cream? YES! The Ice Cream Parlour is packed full of creamy treats and lots of your favourite flavours fresh from the ice cream factory. Those with a sweet tooth will love it! 

There are a few cafes dotted around the site too like the Carousel Cafe and the Peacock Cafe! Here you will find oven-cooked pastries, hot drinks and ice lollies! Feeling like you need a hearty meal? Sink your teeth into the renowned local hamburger st Frank's Hamburgers! You can grab one of these mouthwatering hamburgers near the Sway Rider ride! Why not check out Frank's Fish & Chip Shop while you're at it? This family favourite is great to fill up your little ones tummy's, refuelling them for the rest of the day.

Why end the day of family fun here? You can even stay at Wicksteed Park's attraction by camping! Bring your tent along and set up in their cosy campsite.
