Westport Lake Play Area

The new children's play area is located next to the car park off Westport Lake Road so it's really easy to find. The exciting new adventure play area has a large colourful butterfly on the safety surfacing and a choice selection of exciting play equipment, including the fort climbing frame, swings, a merry-go-round, springy animals, slides and a rotating circular seat.

Once you can prise them away from the playground however there's plenty of natural delights in store too: you can tell your little twitchers that it's an important overwintering site for many water birds and lots of regionally unusual species are known to stop off at the lake during migration, so depending on what you want to see, seasonal planning is your friend!
