Kidsgrove Ski Centre

Kidsgrove Ski Centre welcomes skiers from age 5, where their friendly comprehensive lesson plans will take complete beginners to snowplough turn standard in 4 lessons. They also offer one off taster sessions by arrangement so if none of you have ever tried and you're not sure it's going to work out then that's the way to go, but most people pick it up in no time and it's great fun to do together so this could be the beginning of a lifelong family hobby!

Their slope is 85m long and is serviced by a cool button type ski lift, surfaced with a synthetic but incredibly snowlike material that's just like snow to move on. There's floodlighting throughout too so evenings and dark days you can still enjoy the slopes.

Once you've got the hang of things you can move on to Basic Improver and Intermediate Improver lessons, which obviously take the skill notch up further each time, increasing confidence in the basics throughout. There's even a Master Class if you get that far!

Plus it's next to Bathpool Park and Lake so there's a pleasing family ramble to help you work the ski wobble out of your legs afterwards!
