About Victoria Park Leicester
Victoria Park is one of the most beautiful open spaces for families to visit in Leicester. The park is well-maintained, with a number of play areas to keep your little explorers entertained. Take a walk under the trees and admire the beautiful flowerbeds while the kids enjoy the freedom to run around and play.
Feeling sporty? Victoria Park offers lots of family-friendly sports features, including bowling green, tennis and basketball courts, football and rugby pitches and an outdoor gym. Also, the park is popular in the local community for hosting exciting kid-friendly events throughout the year.
The main sight in Victoria Park is the stunning Victoria Park Cenotaph, a giant memorial arch built to commemorate the fallen World War I soldiers. There’s also a small Rock Memorial celebrating the American soldiers who had been based in Leicester before they took part in the D Day landings.
