Attraction Information
Trebah Gardens
You and yours can discover the magic of this charming Cornish valley garden with over 4m of scenic footpaths to ramble along, adventure playgrounds and children's trails!
Explore beneath lush canopies bursting with exotic blooms and follow colourful living tunnels of plantlife that flow down to a secluded beach, right on the Helford River: south-facing Polgwiddon Cove! A small, narrow passage of simple steps will guide you over the South West Coastal Path and onto the beautiful beach where the view opens up on to a delightful maritime scene full of small sailing boats which you can watch from the shingle beach. There are also rock pools to explore, but be sure to time your visit wisely as it is a tidal bay and sometimes the waters cover the pools entirely.
Being festooned with plant life Trebah naturally offers visitors a varying year round experience: spring brings Trebah alive with colourful arrays of century old rhododendron plants, plus magnolias and camellias; summer herlads the impressive giant gunnera; autumn sees the Hydrangea Valley cast clouds of sky blue and china white over Mallard Pond and in the wintertime plants from the southern hemisphere flower and their majestic champion trees dominate the landscape. There are special events held regularly all year round too, and they are a dog friendly garden too!
