Helston Sports Centre on Church Hill is a welcoming community centre with a six-lane, 25-metre pool ranging from 0.9m to 1.9m deep, open seven days a week and treated with a gentle low-chlorine UV system that's kinder on young eyes. There's a full swim school programme with lessons from just £6, parent & baby sessions, fun swims and Aqua Splash sessions to keep the whole family happy in the water. On dry land there's a 42-station gym after a £450,000 refurbishment, and a sprung-floor studio running Pilates, group cycle and more. Pool parties are a popular way to celebrate birthdays here.
