The Revenue Museum
About The Revenue Museum
The Revenue Museum is free to visit and can be found in the crypt of the Chapel Royal in Dublin Castle, which has a great complex of buildings to explore, most of it for free as well, so this is a great location for a low priced family day out.
The whole family will be surprised by how interesting, and sometimes amusing, this great little museum is, with a number of insightful and colourful displays. This is a unique opportunity to learn about the activities of the Revenue Commissioners over several centuries, with a chance to see some of the items that have been confiscated, you will be amazed! There are also examples of counterfeit goods, a stamp duty machine, and early computer technology.
