The National Wax Museum Plus
Dublin, County DublinAbout The National Wax Museum Plus
There's a lot to see and do at Wax Museum Plus but with younger kids you're going to be heading straight for Kids' World first! This charming children's fantasy world features plenty of colour, cartoon wax figures and piles of convincing cake and sweets: no licking! This veritable dream world includes The Magic Tunnel and a brand new Puppet Theatre as well as all your favourite Cartoon Heroes are on display like Sponge Bob Square Pants and The Simpsons, plus fairytale figures like the Evil Queen, Harry Potter and a teeny Irish Leprechaun! Then in the Science and Discovery zone you can get stuck into interactive touch screen technology as well as figures from the world of Tech, with real experiments and figures to examine and touch. Plus you can hit The Wax Factor Studio with green screen video recording room, and use real mixing equipment (the very same bits as previously used by Snow Patrol, Rihanna and Michael Jackson dontcherknow!). And of course you've got the more general areas where you can simply amrval at the wax likenesses! Under 5s are free of charge and most of the attraction is generally suitable for children 5 years and over but you do need to give serious consideration to them going into the atmopsheric Time Vaults, and more importantly The Chambers of Horror are really quite gruesome and not suitable for under 16s! They recommend taking a baby carrier due to restricted pram space, they have a few to loan out if you don't have one.
