National Leprechaun Museum
Dublin, County DublinAbout National Leprechaun Museum
National Leprechaun Museum is dedicated to Irish mythology and offers a great storytelling experience, which opens up a magical world, full of enchanting tales and fascinating folklore that will take the whole family to the heart of Irish imagination and cultural identity. Nobody mention Lucky Charms: this is serious!
This is a fun and interactive environment offering the chance to learn about the first ever leprechaun sighting a few hundred years ago, to how they are represented in popular culture today.
Discover what it would be like to travel beneath Giant's Causeway, and allow your enthusiastic hosts to open your minds with a trip to fairy hill and stories of Irelands mythical otherworld! The kids will love the leprechaun sized world, with plenty of giant objects to enjoy, plus a great photo opportunity. And what leprechaun experience would be complete without a chance to discover whether that crock of gold really exists at the end of the rainbow!
All guests will also have the opportunity to tell their own story on a free postcard, which is blank, so you can draw whatever you imagine. You then have the choice of keeping the postcard for yourself, or posting it to any location in the world!
For younger kids they do an excellent Red Hat Tour which during peak times will acquire them bonus activities involving music and games, but be warned full parental participation is required!
It's also worth mentioning that for bigger, braver kids and their parents they also do a Night Time Tour where the stories they tell you are considerably different...
