Located in the historic centre of Coventry, next to the Cathedral ruins, the Herbert Art Gallery and Museum is the cultural hub of the city. Visit us for Free to immerse yourself and your family in arts, history and culture. With a selection of permanent galleries and temporary exhibition spaces, along with a whole host of ongoing workshops and events, the Herbert offers a great day out. Our fantastic family offer was recognised when we won the Guardian Family Friendly Museum Award in 2010.

Wander through dazzling interactive displays and investigate the natural world, modern art, and the old masters in our eight permanent galleries. Explore a wide range of exhibitions, many from prestigious national museums, in the temporary exhibition spaces.
Our modern building is fully accessible to people with disabilities and we offer baby changing facilities, cafe, gift shop, history centre and archives and media suites. We also cater for events and corporate hire.
