A family visit to Brandon Marsh Nature Centre will naturally include the Visitor Centre where you can pick up information about the nature reserve to help plan your exploration plus hit the Tea Room and Shop when all is done. The Centre also has lots of events and activities for families hosted throughout the year so it's well worth checking ahead if you're flexible and seeing what extra fun you can get on board with!
Around the outside of the Centre you'll find an Orchard, Mouse Maze, mini-beast (insect) homes, 7 sneaky bird watching hides and a sensory garden plus an under-cover picnic area if you don't fancy the tea rooms or you're saving the pennies. Best all rounder activity is following the Onyx Nature Trail, as it guides you around pretty much all of the wildlife habitats in the nature reserve and gives you a chance to come across all the major features.
They offer Really Wild Birthday Parties in the visitor centre too, and for older kids and grown-ups they also have an annual schedule of informative events and ranger guided walks.
