Indoor Play
With over 90 interactive exhibits at The Look Out Discovery Centre, kids and adults alike can dive into the wonders of the natural world and the principles of exciting science in an engaging, hands-on way.
This isn't just about observing; it's about participating, experimenting, and witnessing the magic of discovery firsthand. This hands-on science exhibition is spread over five zones. It's a place that mixes fun with science as it takes you on a fantastic adventure.
You can launch a rocket or set off a hot air balloon in the Forces and Movement Zone, and learn the mysteries of the human body and brain in the Body and Perception Zone by testing speed and reflex. Play with laser beams in the Light and Colour Zone, and step outside to discover local wildlife in the Woodland and Water Zone. And finally, join the Look Out construction crew in the Build It Zone! It's the perfect activity to enjoy during the school holidays, where education and fun are combined!
At The Look Out Discovery Centre you can even make star constellations, play on a giant piano and a body jigsaw, make paper fly and open a treasure chest. Then you can head into a dark room where you can be silly with body illusions, watch ice crystals form and enjoy the shadow box. Plus, for those who love water, there's also a huge water table with water features your little ones can play with!
Outdoor Adventures
Outdoors there’s an adventure playground, forest walks and nature trails that span 1,000 hectares of woodland that are perfect to explore by bike or foot.
The infant play trail is ideal for ages 3-6 with its massive fort in the middle and there's plenty of activities for toddlers too! All walks are fully signposted with full distances and highlights so you can pick the right one for you.
If you're an avid cyclist, you can also use the bike hire and cycle around the woods and adventure park!
Experience day of discovery, learning, play and nature - only at The Look Out Discovery Centre!
Gift Shop
At the gift shop, you can find a range of science-based toys, books, stationery, sweets and so much more!
