Attraction Information
Originally part of the historic grounds of Pope's Manor where the 18th century poet Alexander Pope spent part of his childhood, the park is managed to preserve its historic landscape features and is also a haven for a wide diversity of wildlife; it is designated a Local Wildlife Site.
Activities that take place at Pope's Meadow range from conservation volunteering including clearance works and wildflower planting, to events such as Family Fun Days and Festive Forages; led by Rangers from the Parks and Countryside Service.
The children's play area is suitable for toddlers and a junior football pitch is available for public use. More recent popular additions include a circular disabled access path, benches and picnic tables.
