The Alex Yee Ladywell Arena

The Alex Yee Ladywell Arena on Silvermere Road, tucked at the back of Ladywell Fields Park in Catford, is Lewisham's only athletics venue - and it's named after Olympic gold medallist Alex Yee, who trained here. The 6-lane, 400m floodlit running track is joined by full field event facilities including long jump, high jump, pole vault and javelin areas, plus an 11-a-side floodlit grass football pitch. Kids can join children's holiday camps with Ladywell Athletics Club, or try the junior gym sessions for 11-17 year olds. There's also a multi-functional room for table tennis, meetings and birthday parties. It's a beautiful, spacious spot for a sporty family day out, especially in summer.
