Things To Do
The centre is home to over 250 different species of butterfly from a range of 20 different countries! Learn all about these exotic butterflies and the butterfly life cycle. In the tropical butterfly display, you might even see a butterfly hatch from its chrysalis before your very eyes.
Venture into the Rainforest Flight Area where you can enjoy a tropical stroll (rain or shine) through an exotic environment. Gaze around as you're surrounded by the world's most spectacular and coloured butterflies. You'll see them flutter in the breeze, they might even flutter to your shoulder! As well as the butterfly farm Stratford also offers tropical blossoms with a large selection of tropical plants that feed the butterflies!
See one of the largest insect collections in the UK at the Mini-Beast Metropolis, filled with stick insects, leaf cutter ants, beetles and some of the world’s largest spiders *eep!*. Visit the Discovery Zone to find out about the tropical plants that are grown at the centre, where you’ll also find caterpillars, giant silk moths and shining pupae.
