Performances take place across three venues - the Royal Shakespeare Theatre, the Swan Theatre, and The Other Place - each offering a unique theatrical experience. All aspects of the company are opened up for families with an interactive exhibition and a veritable treasure trove of curiosities and artefacts. See the costumes and props used on their hallowed stages and get right up close to a rare copy of Shakespeare's First Folio.
Aspiring actors can try on virtual costumes in the 'digital dressing room' and even perform in front of a live - virtual - audience! Then, take a trip up the Theatre Tower to get a panoramic view of Shakespeare's home town and explore the backstage areas on a guided Theatre Tour. Walk on stage, learn how costumes and props are made, and hear fascinating stories about past productions and famous actors who have performed here.
The RSC also offer free activities all year round, including a family trail ideal for young explorers and a dressing-up box filled to the brim with real costumes.
