Little Woodham Living History Village
Gosport, HampshireAbout Little Woodham Living History Village
Little Woodham Living History Village will allow the kids to learn about the past by interacting with ‘villagers' dressed in period costume at this amazing living history museum.
Watch the blacksmith beat hot iron into shape, speak with the villagers as they card and spin wool or make lace and prepare timber with the sawyers. You can meet the potter at their kiln, the poacher and the washerwoman. The more questions kids ask the more they will find out as all the villagers are full of information about different aspects of life during this time. Their knowledge is amazing! You can find out about crafts such as weaving, leatherwork, growing crops or running an inn. They also bring the characters to life with a wealth of personal information linked to events during that time.
You really feel like you have travelled back in time as the village is surrounded by a wood and is as authentic as possible. A great way to spend several hours with the smalls.
