As a result of the ongoing Coronavirus outbreak, Lapworth Museum of Geology is currently closed to the public, however the gardens are still open. We'll keep this updated with news of when it might be open again, but always recommend to check before you travel.

Attraction Information

At the Lapworth Museum of Geology is one of the oldest specialist geological museums in the country, where you can explore the past 3.5 billion years!

With a recent £2.7m redevelopment, exciting family activities, and one of the most extensive collections of fossils, minerals and rocks in the region, you'd be mad to miss out on this free educational and exciting day out.

Don't forget, you can see dinosaurs to fossils, rocks to volcanoes, so let your imagination run wild!
