About Dollar Park
Dollar Park is a striking area of mature parkland with a good many horticultural attractions that's situated nice and close to Falkirk's town centre, so you can bribe the kids with some playtime when they're tired of touristy shopping!
The kids will absolutely love the play area, which is designed for kids aged up to about 10 years old, with classy handcrafted Robinia Wood play equipment, including a classic pirate ship! There is also a refreshments kiosk open during the summer holidays or you are of course welcome to bring a picnic.
There's plenty of space for classic family games as well, so bring along their favourite and just be sure to use it sociably if it's busy! No one wants to eat a frisbee…
As you explore the park, the kids can look out for a large Victorian 2 storey mansion, with impressive balconies and a long driveway guarded by 2 Chinese Lion statues, and framed by fine flower beds and shrubs. Should you happen to wish to slip a little secret schooling into the day then for your information Robert Dollar, a shipping magnate and philanthropist, gifted the house, and the rest of the gardens, to the town.
