Go Ape Buxton

Find your peak at Go Ape Buxton, the Peak District National Park's ultimate adventure destination! It’s one of the highest Go Ape courses in the whole of the UK, so this is definitely one for bigger kids (10+) and grown-ups looking for thrills.

This fun activity promises dizzying heights, high-speed zip lines and one of the biggest Tarzan Swing drops - so get practising your Tarzan roars! Don’t let the fact that it's known as one of the more challenging courses put you off, once you’re up in the trees you can choose your own path. Trust us, some crossings are definitely easier than others! There are also plenty of walking and cycling trails to explore with the family!

Refuel with some snacks and warm drinks from the cafe. If you've bought your own lunch then you can enjoy your own sandwiches whilst kicking back in the arms of nature. Soak up all the beautiful views from the forest floor while you watch others soar through the sky on forest ziplines. 

 

Once you reach Buxton, follow the brown signs to Poole's Cavern.

The train line finishes at Buxton and starts at Manchester Piccadilly. The course is approximately 30 minutes walk from the Buxton train station. Alternatively, you can arrange a taxi to take you to the course or hop on your bike.

 

Trent Barton Buses and Bower Buses run services in and around Buxton.

Several different buses are operating in the local area and surrounding towns/ villages but direct buses can also be taken from Manchester, Derby, Nottingham and Sheffield. The course is approximately an 18-minute walk from the marketplace where the majority of buses terminate.
