Discover outdoor games for the whole family, from badminton and giant jenga to Skittles, swing ball, or traditional sports day races.
Channel your inner performer with circus skills workshops lead by Circus Sensible (on select days). Learn from the experts and master juggling, plate spinning, diabolo, and other circus tricks.
Or, kick back, relax and enjoy live music on select Saturdays and Sundays. With all genres of music, from a saxophone quartet to a wind band and a solo guitarist, there's something for everyone. So, bring along your friends and family and discover tunes from local musicians whilst soaking up scenic views across the water.

Foremark offers a fantastic day out for the whole family. With plenty of open space to run around, set up games, or simply soak in the sun (when it makes an appearance), this man-made reservoir provides a variety of activities for all ages and interests.
You can enjoy a relaxing picnic while the kids have fun on the playgrounds or explore the family-friendly trails in the woodland. It's perfect for leisurely family walks, with numerous waymarked routes that guide you through the stunning surroundings. The trails through the woodland include multi-use bridleways, making it perfect for walking, cycling, and even horse riding. Whether you're exploring the scenic trails or simply enjoying the natural beauty, Foremark offers a memorable and enjoyable family day out.
One of the highlights of Foremark is the rich diversity of wildlife. Foremark is also home to Carver's Rocks - a Site of Special Scientific Interest! Your little scientist will have a blast exploring these fascinating lowlands, heath grasslands and ancient woodland habitats. It's actually one of the last areas of lowland heath in Derbyshire! Plus, it's a great place to see a whole host of wildlife all year round.
Adventure Playground
There's a new playground near the visitor centre at Foremark! You have to stop by if you have little ones who love to climb, swing, spin, and run about. The playground is complete with a huge slide, zip wire, climbing equipment, swings, and more. It's the perfect space for some family fun.
Oh, and did you know that you can also complete some of your '50 things to do before you're 11¾' at Foremark? You could find a spot in the woods to build a den, eat a picnic in the wild, or make a home for wildlife as you explore the Foremark.
Fancy a bit more of an adventure? Then you're in luck! Foremark is home to Burton Sailing Club, which offers a range of family-friendly water sports, including windsurfing and offshore sailing. These water sports are suitable for beginners and more experienced adventurers.
Food & Drink
There's a kiosk at Foremark offering a range of hot and cold drinks, including ice cream for sunny days and hot chocolates for warming chilly fingers. They also serve a range of meals, light bites, sweet treats, and more! There's plenty of outdoor seating to enjoy a bite to eat before continuing on your walk!
You can also bring a picnic along to enjoy anywhere in the nature reserve.

- Dogs can explore Foremark but must be on a lead around the car park, visitor facilities, picnic benches and along the Bridleway.
