Exbury Gardens and Steam Railway is a fun place for all the family. Take a stroll through 200 acres of beautiful woodland garden, full of unusual plants and meandering paths to explore.
The Steam Railway is a must for visitors young and old, with a 20 minute journey around areas of the Gardens not accessible on foot. The guard may invite a young passenger to wave the green flag to the driver. The Railway has very popular established special events, Ghost Trains and seasonal Specials (see the Exbury website for details).
The Adventure Play Area, brand new for 2014, is a must-stop destination for younger visitors, with a basket swing, climbing apparatus and a slide, with easy access to the toilet facilites, and only a stone's throw away from the Tea Rooms.
Summer is a favourite time for families to picnic in the Gardens. Jubilee Pond and Top Pond with its lazy koi carp, golden orfe and hovering dragonflies are an endless source of fascination for children. Families can discover interesting facts about some of Exbury's plants and trees by following the Family Trail.
