Craigtoun Country Park

With free entry, free parking and on-site café, Craigtoun really is the ideal place for a family day out. Situated in 47 acres of well-maintained grounds, just 2 miles from St Andrews, the park is open all year round and visitors can enjoy free facilities such as the Adventure Playground, Trampolines, Fairy Glen, Trim Trail and a 30ft Zip Wire.

Craigtoun Country Park is a hugely popular destination for summer outings and has been for generations. Families, schools, nurseries, Sunday schools, sports clubs, scouting groups, special interest groups and holiday clubs all enjoy bringing groups to Craigtoun and many come back year after year. Because there is no entrance fee, even groups with very limited budgets can enjoy a day out at Craigtoun and, for just £8.50 per person, groups of 10 or more can purchase day wrist bands for unlimited use of our seasonal attractions for the duration of their visit.

At Craigtoun we run various events throughout the year, starting with a free Book Fun Day in the Craigtoun Cafe in March and ending with our Christmas at Craigtoun programme which includes Wreath Making for the adults and bookable visits to see both Santa Claus and Santa Paws for the children and their 4-legged friends! We always celebrate Easter with a 2-day Easter Fayre, complete with Easter Bunny Trail, and the start of the local schools' summer holidays with a 2-day Country Fayre. Both of these events are attended by crafters selling a range of unique gifts and also a variety of local and national charities. History in the Park is an annual free event that is expanding year on year and this year's event will feature 8 reenactment groups covering 2000 years of Scottish history, from the Roman period to modern day. Art in the Park is a new event for 2026 and is set to be a 9-day festival of creativity with workshops for both adults and children alike, culminating in a 2-day event with exhibitions and stalls with affordable arts and crafts. Details of a food festival and a pets event are soon to be revealed!
