About Cowdenbeath Racewall

With an iconic oval circuit located in the centre of Cowdenbeath, Racewall is one of Scotland’s most exciting motorsport venues. Hosting breathtaking, edge-of-your-seat, raw and exciting racing since 1989, you can be sure that a trip to Racewall won’t disappoint.

An evening at Racewall starts with the opportunity to explore the pit area and get up close to the racecars and their drivers. Once the chequered flag flies, spectators can sit in the comfort our grandstands, stand/sit out on our tiered terracing, or live it up in our hospitality suite.

No event is ever the same, but you can expect 12-15 races packed into a 3-4 hour programme featuring spins, crashes, rollovers and door-handle to door-handle racing inches apart from each other (and our safety wall).

The Home of Scottish Stock Car Racing

Cowdenbeath Racewall is the home of Scottish Stock Car racing. Full of action, speed and drama, a trip to the Racewall could never be described as boring.

A variety of different formulas zoom their way around our iconic oval circuit, from Brisca F2 and Saloon Stock Cars to ORCi Stock Rods, ORCi Ministox, Prostox and Bangers. So whether the pace of F2 is your thing, or the drama of a Banger smash up, there is something at Racewall for everyone.

Racing takes place most Saturday evenings from March through to the end of October with a number of major two day speed weekends throughout the year.

Is a fun and thrill-packed evening for all the family to enjoy. Unlike most motorsport activities, spectators can get up close and personal to the race cars and drivers and view all the on-track action from one vantage position meaning you don’t miss a thing.

Racewall are full members of the Oval Racing Council International (ORCi), BriSCA F2 and the Saloon Stock Car Association and have been hosting top-level Stock Car racing since 1981.

2024 Saloon Stock Car World Final

Transport Information

BY ROAD

Cowdenbeath lies just off the A92 between Dunfermline and Kirkcaldy. The A92 links Dunfermline and Dundee and joins the M90 at the Dunfermline end. The M90 links Edinburgh and Perth via the Forth Road Bridge (A90).

On entering Cowdenbeath carry-on down Bridge Street to the round-about and take the second exit to the High Street. About 100m up the High Street, before the steel Railway Bridge overhead, there is a left-hand turn that is sign-posted ‘Central Park’. Follow this road under the railway arch and you have arrived!

Parking is limited in the free public car park directly in front of the stadium, but there are two other free public car parks if you follow the one-way road round to the right and up to Stenhouse Street – you can’t miss them! Street parking is also available, but be careful to adhere to parking restrictions. As a town centre venue it is essential that spectators park in a safe and legal way, considerate to local residents and businesses. Please park in one of the many FREE parking areas around the town.

DO NOT park on verges or block access to properties – the authorities will ticket or remove your car.

Disabled parking is available on a first-come-first-served basis directly outside the stadium in the public car park. Please arrive early as these will fill quickly.

PUBLIC TRANSPORT TO/FROM COWDENBEATH

Rail: Cowdenbeath train station is a stop on the Fife Circle line that is serviced by Scotrail. The station is situated directly across from the stadium. Timetables and connections can be found here.

Bus: Cowdenbeath bus stations are serviced by Stagecoach. Timetables and connections can be found here. The X54 is an express service that links Edinburgh, Dunfermline, Cowdenbeath, Glenrothes and Dundee.

HALBEATH PARK AND RIDE

Combine your private car and bus travel! Making use of the local park and ride facility makes sense when the journey time between it and Cowdenbeath is only 10 mins. This is especially true for our Championship meetings when local parking can be scarce and traffic an issue. The no. 19/19A Stagecoach bus passes through Cowdenbeath frequently (every 10-30 mins depending on time of day).
