Corris Caverns is a fantastic day out for all ages in all weathers, there's something for everyone.
You will love this attraction if you enjoy free all day parking which is right next to the entrance. Children will love following the dragon footprints which start from the main entrance and lead you up to the King Arthur's Labyrinth reception - can they stride as wide as a dragon?🐲
King Arthur's Labyrinth is a unique underground storytelling adventure and a part of Corris Caverns. This exciting visit starts with a short boat ride, through a magical waterfall and back into the Dark Ages. In a distant time of myth and legends you'll be guided through the underground Labyrinth by a mysterious hooded boatman where ancient Welsh legends unfold with dramatic scenes, light and sound. Enjoy legends of dragons, giants, fierce battles and King Arthur.
Corris Caverns is a great attraction for children and grown ups who love getting creative with lots of opportunities to make your own crafts. The talented craftspeople in the workshops will be able to help you to paint pottery, dip candles and to craft herbals. All of the craft workshops are located just a short walk from each other.
You will love this attraction if you enjoy great food and drink. The Corris Cafe is right next to all of the attractions where an all-day menu offers delicious food and drinks including an all day breakfast bap menu, delicious homemade soups, Welsh Lamb Cawl, chunky chips, delicious Welsh rarebits using a traditional recipe, homemade pastries, fresh sandwiches and a lots of delicious cakes and cookies. Freshly ground coffee, Welsh tea, frothy milkshakes, juices and more.
This attraction is great if you are bringing your dog. Much of Corris Caverns is dog friendly - the Corris Cafe, Welsh Deli, the 9 Corris Craft Centre workshops and the Welsh Legends Maze all welcome you and your dogs. There are delicious doggy treats too with dog ice cream and flavoured snacks. There is also a dedicated craft workshop - Bowowhause - where raw dog food and treats are available. Bowowhause create spectacular pet portraits, ceramic baubels and name tags with paintings of your dogs.
If you love a fun challenge, you will love The Welsh Legends maze. This outdoor storytelling maze is filled with myths and legends as well as a range of challenges for all ages. Perfect for pre-school and younger children is the Dragon Quest - lots of different coloured dragons are dotted around the maze, find them all to crack the clues. For slighly older children, there's the Bards' Quest with answers hiding in the many myths and legends that are told in the Maze. For teenagers and adults the Mabinogion Quest - this cryptic quest is loved by all who enjoy a real challenge. Dogs are welcome in the Welsh Legends maze and the gravel pathways may enable access for wheelchairs, prams and buggies.
For everyone who loves a spot of history and learning of days gone by, you'll love Corris Mine Explorers. On this underground visit you join one of the best mine guides and enter the virtually untouched workings of an old Welsh Slate Mine. You'll follow in the footsteps of Victorian Slate Miners on this multi award-winning visit. Find their discarded tools and machinery and hear tales of days gone by. A fascinating visit.
If you're a lover of good gin, you won't be disappointed, Corris Caverns is home to the Dyfi Distillery a small family-owned producer making small batches of highly acclaimed gins using over 25 locally foraged botanicals. Dyfi Distillery is the only distillery to have won the Best British Gin trophy twice, along with many other awards. ‘Dovey Native Botanical Gin’ has been granted UK Geographical Indication (UKGI) status and is the first gin in the UK to achieve this accolade. The gin is produced in the diminutive Dyfi Valley in Wales where there is currently just one tiny distillery. The distillery produces a range of gins but only one ‘Pollination’, meets the strict criteria, enabling itself to be called a ‘Dovey Native Botanical Gin PGI’. Curious to find out more? You can call in and meet the owners they will love to chat with you and to give you a tasting of their wonderful gins.
At Corris Caverns you will find the Best Craft Centre in Wales, there are 9 independent craft workshops where you can see the unique handmade crafts being made. Items handmade on site include contemporary Celtic jewellery, candles, soap and homescents, flamework and glass sculptures, pet portraits dog clothes and treats, pottery and ceramic dragons, herbal lotions and remedies, unique wooden furniture and gifts. Many offer hands-on fun craft making oppportunities too, children of all ages love these.
Crafty Gamer is a brand new workshop for 2026 - all lovers of dungeons and dragons and fantasy role play are going to love this exciting new workshop.
Corris Caverns is accessible by public transport too with a bus stop right outside with a dropped pavement - it's fully accessible. The Corris Craft Centre, Corris Cafe, Welsh Deli and Welsh Legends Maze are all accessible to wheelchairs, pushchairs and buggies. There is an accessible toilet too accessed using a RADAR key - a key is available from the Corris Cafe during opening times.

🌿Herbal Crafting in Spellbound Herbals workshop - People of all ages can come and try out working with herbs and go home with something very special that they have crafted themselves.
🕯️Candle making activity in The Candle Studio - make your own pair of tapered candles. Choose up to 4 different coloured waxes.
🪑Furniture Building & Pyrography with Taran Eco Designs - Make a piece of furniture on a tutored workshop. You can also use pyrography to burn your own unique image or words onto wood.

We serve a delicious all day menu with lots of Welsh food served. Our most popular dishes are our Welsh Rarebit and Lamb Cawl. We also serve chilli nachos and veggie nachos which are really popular.
For vegans and vegetarians we offer a great choice and recommend that everyone chats with our friendly team for their top tips. Soup is homemade with fresh ingredients every day and served with organic wholemeal bread and Welsh butter. Our Children's menu features homemade soup, sausage, chips and beans, beans on toast and jacket potatoes. There's always a great selection of savoury pastries and freshly made sandwiches.
We make fresh scones which are really popular and always sell out fast.
Freshly ground coffee is served by our trained Baristas, as well as tea, hot chocolates, milk shakes, juices and more. During the summer months we have a pop-up ice cream shop where Mario's Welsh ice cream is served.

There are direct trains from Birmingham to Machynlleth every two hours.There are regular buses from Aberystwyth, Dolgellau, Machynlleth and Tywyn: Catch the T2 which stops just a few minutes walk away. Or use the new Fflecsi Bus service and find us on the Dyffryn Dulas route. Sustrans Cycle Route 8 passes nearby.
