Discover a true local gem and visit the lovely Carlow County Museum; it’s located right at the heart of Carlow's Cultural Quarter. Comprised of 4 galleries, the museum is fun, educational and it’s the perfect size for kids to explore without getting bored.

From a 340-million-year-old fossilized squid, to the smoking pipe of Captain Myles Keogh, killed at the Battle of Little Big Horn; to a whole exhibition on the Carlow-trained monk turned Patron Saint of Luxembourg - there’s plenty of fascinating local history to be discovered. Best of all, admission is completely free!

Young history lovers will find your visit much more exciting once they have the Carlow County Museum Detective Quiz in their hands. Looking for clues will tie the whole experience together in a nice adventurous bow!
