The friendly, experienced, Go With The Flow River Adventures instructors will guide you along exclusive trails and show you how to shoot weirs and ride the rapids! You will pass through dramatic landscapes, mysteries wooded valleys and old navigation routes once used by the famous Guinness barges. You may bring a picnic, visit the playground of The Incredible Mr Kavanagh and take a swim in tranquil sheltered waters of scenic and remote pools!
Children should be 6 years or older and able to swim plus be comfortable in the water. They will be wearing buoyancy aids.
The differing trip types are titled as follows: Splash n Dash, High Kings Trail, Pilgrim Trail, Goresbridge to Graig, Family And Wild Camp Safari, Kilkenny to Bennetsbridge and Bennetsbridge to Inistioge! Each has varying boons and specifics and they offer up a handy guide helping your discern which suits your group's skills and stamina the best. One of the most fun for over 4s is the Family Safari option, where you combine the thrills of the boating with the delights of camping too!
Most of the adventures take place on the river Barrow in the Carlow and Kilkenny area. For these events you will meet in the village of Borris, Co. Carlow.
